ORVIETO CITTA' MAGICA, ARTE, STORIA, VINI ED OLIO €60 p.p.

This was our first time on E bikes and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning tour of Orvieto. The bikes were great - easy to use and they whizzed us around the city effortlessly. But it was Elena's tour, which was informative, fun and comprehensive which made it such a memorable experience. We stopped at various viewpoints and places around the city and Elena gave us a wonderful insight into the history of this amazing place, as well as her personal recommendations of restaurants and things to do after the tour. Our tour included a visit to 'Orvieto Underground' which was also very interesting. We really didn't want the tour to end! We will definitely take another tour with Orvieto Bike Tours when we are back in Orvieto. I say 'when' and not 'if'; the bike tour alone is the only reason you need to visit Orvieto!... If you do just one tour while you're in Orvieto, make sure it's this one! Paulo brought the bikes to us at our AirBnB (we were lucky enough that this tour ended up just being the two of us!) and we set off towards Civita di Bagnoregio, stopping off at a few places along the way, including a great little bar for coffee, hot chocolate and cake. After visiting Civita we were heading home when the rain came in. We didn't mind it, but Paulo organised for us to be collected in a van as he was (quite rightly) concerned for the risk posed by Italian drivers on the wet roads! Back in Orvieto the tour finished with an amazing late lunch in a kind of degustation-style - local cheeses, wines, crostini, risotto, biscotti etc - absolutely delicious! The whole tour was fantastic from start to finish, with Paulo a generous and informative guide. Highly, highly recommended :)... TripAdvisor all Reviews

I’d highly recommend the bike tour of Orvieto with Paolo! He was very knowledgeable of the area’s history, and it’s clear that history is a passion of his. The bike ride was easy and the city of Orvieto is very beautiful and carries the stories of many different eras in history. The meal at the end was a wonderful way to cap off a meaningful experience. Would highly recommend :)... AirBnB all Reviews

Paolo is a fantastic guide, super knowledgeable, funny, and personable. We never could have known or done this ourselves. It was a great way to see Orvieto - so peaceful and easy. The tasting afterward hosted by Alessandro was amazing. We had his family’s food and wine al fresco in front of the duomo. All in all, an awesome night.... AirBnB all Reviews

This was such an amazing experience. We did the night tour with Paolo, and it was the highlight of our short time in Orvieto. Paolo took us to a number of spots (via bike ride) and explained important historical facts and stories at each location. We would have never been able to learn everything that we did without the tour. After the bike tour, we had a private tasting at a local wine bar restaurant. This was incredible! We got to see the underground cellar, sample (generous samples) various wines, and try many different kinds of foods (again healthy portions), including home cooked Umbrian specialities. The owner of the shop Alessandro told us about all of the food dishes and wine pairings. This was a truly phenomenal experience and Paolo couldn’t have been friendlier or more informed on Orvieto history. We loved it and would do it again if we are able to come back to this town!...
